Check out the black and white runners we had customized for Mindy & David’s Kitchen. The busier black and white Raettvik design in the higher traffic area protects the floor from sink, stove, and counter spills while the black and white Lina directs traffic through from inside to out in its 19″ wide blocks. Please join us this Thursday evening! PLASTICA will be showcasing 5 of our local LA designers. ’Meet the Designer’ will take place from 5-9pm during the West 3rd Street Summer Stroll. The following designers will be in store for you to meet and see and shop up new designs. Agnes Baddoo, room scents; Artecnica, hanging mobiles; I. Ronni Kappos, jewelry; Pad Outdoor, planters; and Smiling Planet, kids dishes and more. Refreshments too!

Bag Lady.

I have a serious bag problem. In my attempt to organize them all and pull some out for donation, I was inspired to photograph my collection quickly with my iphone. The plastic woven totes were one of the main inspirations for opening PLASTICA 16 years ago. The accumulation is natural with being a shop keeper that has carried various bag lines throughout the years, like Marimekko and Le Sportsac along with being given swag totes at the tradeshows, etc. I also never ask the grocery bagger for paper or plastic because I have plenty of my own totes to use for shopping.
