Camouflage

Spotted this on the way to work. What a great solution – to cover the utility box with an image of the existing scenery it is in fact blocking. Super clever way to make that box disappear and blend in.

I saw another one about a mile away from this one.

I wonder who is doing this.

Pure Bristles

Pura Setola

Just realized this shaving cream brush makes a nice cat brush, Sam loves it! Picked this up in NYC just as an inspirational sample for a possible expanded bath section at Plastica. Really attracted to the proportions and love the generic red. Made in Italy, sterilized pure bristles by Omega, paid $12. retail.

Suede Mesh Bag

knock it off!

knock it off!

Found this on a trip to Frankfurt a while back. Spotted it in a second hand shop and I have used it maybe once but prefer just hanging it on my bedroom wall. I daydream that someone cool will knock it off – Margiela? It is a sage green suede with brass rivets and tortoise shell plastic handles, 15″ long and expands to various sizes depending on what you fill it with. Love it!

Plastic Mesh Tote

mesh tote

My first mesh tote.

Here is my first mesh tote. I think I purchased it when I was about 13 or so, on a day trip to Tijuana with my friend Kara and her Dad. By now I have acquired a collection of these and they remain a constant stocked Plastica item. For sure one of the many influences. Love the plaid, love the colors, love the durability!
