Spent the day downtown doing my civic duty – jury duty. Luckily it gave me time to read a book, had a yummy lunch and did a little shopping in Little Tokyo. Also, luckily by 4pm my name had not been called and I was excused – phew! Finally outside, on the trek back to my car, right outside the court building, I spotted this downtown LA directory. After being in such an uninspiring atmosphere for 8 hours, I was anxious to find something interesting and this caught my eye – yikes! but kind of pretty…and a lot going on. (click images to enlarge)
7,000 – 10,000 people serve as jurors every day.
The Los Angeles court is the largest in the US.
FYI – all PAPPELINA RUGS are now on SALE – LESS 15%! Made in Sweden! Great for indoor spaces: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and entry ways! Machine washable and simply wonderful!

Had to take my nephew to the ear clinic today for a routine check up. While in the waiting room, I enjoyed looking at these forms and colors. Some people might think these colors are gross but I found them sweet, especially in this displayed combination. Piggy pink, avocado green, teal green – and all a bit muted.
A quick visit out to Joshua Tree this last weekend left us all exhausted but inspired! These guys have built an amazing place!
I have my eye on the stool in the middle and several of the sculptures.

I also spotted a couple things from the shop: much needed laundry tote and the super soft duvet cover!

Did lots of spring cleaning and changed out our window today.
It would be the end of us if we didn’t always feature at least one Rody, at least one solar powered helicopter, and at least one bird feeder in our window display.
Here it is all featured with the wonderful Luxembourg line by Fermob. Powder coated steel out door furniture from France in yummy colors, here for in-store purchasing only.

What would I do without it! This is one of my favorite items that we offer! Made in Italy – so sexy! Small and efficient staples get the job done all in one grip with no more pounding fists! And the sound of the action is so satisfying! If you don’t already have one you really need one!
