Gardening & Pies

Last Saturday at the shop we had a nice spring day full of pie and useful gardening tips. The pies were so yummy from Emily and Nick of I Heart Pies. Meanwhile, Ivette was busy signing copies of her book, The Edible Front Yard.  A great turnout, full of friends and locals, popping in for a slice and a book! Some got to try Ivettes special cocktail – grapefruit blossom infused vodka with violet liquer, a touch of lemon, and club soda! It was fun for all!

Nick - ready to serve.

Holly waits patiently for her vegan soyrizo pie.

Ivette signs Ann's book.

Ivette's concoction.

We still have copies of Ivette’s book left and will continue to stock them – if interested come by the shop or call.

Sign, sign, sign....

Jackie Knows Best!

Look what Jackie picked up today! Jackie loves color and loves all the different sizes the BAGGU line has to offer! She can never pass up a special brush to keep surfaces clean and couldn’t resist a handy felt key chain, too. Fun and practical – yay! Thank you ~ Jackie!

MAINE Attraction!

Recycled float rope door mats! Lobstermen are now required to switch over from using float rope to sink rope in order to have less accidental harm to Whales. Rather than throwing all of this colorful, re-usable rope into the landfill, Maine Float-Rope Company collects it and weaves these amazing door mats. Each one  is one-of-a-kind, hand woven in Maine! Heavy and sturdy and able to withstand all weather: sun, wind, rain, and snow! Our friend Rupert helped source these out for us. See his door mat in use and packed with snow.
